What to do for gassy baby?

Sorry if this has been posted before, I glanced quickly but didn't really go back and look. Last night my LO wouldn't settle down. We would put him in the crib and he would wake up because of his gas. He wasn't fussy at all, I guess just not comfortable. I ended up sleeping on the couch with him and he did fine withthat. 

 

Today he has been so fussy. He will scream and then calm down but all of a sudden it seems like it hits him again and he starts crying again. I've given him gasdrops and he hasn't popped today (not sure if that would affect this) he is also FF so I'm not worried about something I ate. 

 Any advice of is this in need of a call to the dr?
