Night grunts

LO grunts terribly in the morning ( from about 4 am to 9 am ) and I cannot sleep through it. I read some of you put LO in her own room. But how do you hear them then when they need something? If you have a monitor, you can still hear the grunting. Probably a dumb question but not sure how to go about it and curious what you mommas do with vocal babies
