Red Spot in white of eye

DD has a red spot, much like we all some times get, in the white of her eye near her iris.  Yesterday she was EXTREMELY fussy, spending most of the day crying.  (She has reflux and colic and received IV antibiotics last week at the hospital so is working those out of her system).  She literally cried all.day.long.  There were several times I had to put her down and just let her cry while I took my son potty or fed him lunch or went to the bathroom.  Is it possible that she cried so hard that she broke a small blood vessel in her eye?  Its not large, looks "better" and fainter than yesterday.  We just had her 2 month visit on Monday so she was found to be healthy.  Just curious.
