Ear drainage - not wax

My LO is almost 7wks and I noticed she has some orange colored fluid that has been draining from her ear and crusting up on the lobe and neck. At first I thought it was her eczema however I saw it coming out of the canal which is not her eczema, I also noticed she's been rubbing that ear constantly. We have an appt to see her pediatrician but has anyone else out there ever experienced this??
