Do any of you ladies know of a way to help with gas?

Our LO seems to have trouble getting rid of his gas. We tried switching his formula to similac sensitive which seemed to be to sensitive made him poop pretty much water and seemed to strong for his stomach so we went back to the Similac advance. He does better with that but seems to have really bad gas that he cant expel either way. We try to burp him a couple times during feedings and after. He will constantly fart during meal time. Sometimes the gas is so bad he will just stop eating and cry.He isnt eating as much in one feeding Im thinking because it hurts. Any tips to help him he seems in so much pain. We go back to the pediatrician next week for his 2 month appt but what can we do in the mean time to help him?
