Similac question: What's the difference?

My LO is on Similac Alimentum pre made liquid formula, the 1 quart bottle. I also have noticed that Similac makes a ready to eat version of the same formula but its in a can and there is a price difference between the two. What is the difference other than one is in a can and the other is in a bottle? 

 The only thing I can think of is the bottle you can screw the top on and off after you open it but you probably have to pour the milk out of the can into the LO's bottles since you can't reseal it after you open it?
