xp: Fussy baby won't nurse

Hi Ladies,

Normally DS wants to nurse frequently, loves to suck even when he's done eating and at bedtime, he is happy to nurse himself to sleep.  Same thing for his naps during the day.  Suddenly, for the past couple days, he hasn't wanted to nurse as much, and keeps refusing the breast even when he is hungry.  If he doesn't refuse, then he will fuss and un-latch himself at pretty much every feeding.  Now we are trying to get him to fall asleep because he doesn't want to nurse long enough to fall asleep.  I saw on kellymom that it is pretty common around 6-8 weeks, but it doesn't explain why, or if there is a way to correct the problem, other than just waiting.  Anyone else experience this or have any suggestions?  I am worried that it is physically bothering him to nurse right now, though I don't know why it would.  TIA!
