Belly button swelling?

So, I'm a FTM so I'm not sure if this is normal or if I should be worried... LO is two weeks old today, her cord fell off 5 days ago. Since then her belly button has been a little swollen, not red or inflamed or anything, just swollen up. It's better this morning and I can finally see inside, but it's all dark red, like there's freshly congealed blood in there. Should it still be bleeding? Is the swelling normal after the cord falls off? TIA
