Internal tear

Did any of you ladies have internal tearing? How was your recovery? I hardly had any pain for the first week or so, but I've been feeling my stitches lately. Kind of itchy feeling, almost feels like a yeast infection but I'm pretty sure it's not. My husband says itching means healing with stitches. I was wondering if anyone else had this with an internal tear.. No clue how many stitches I have.
