Diaper changes....OH the diaper changes.

I have gone through 76 diapers in 5 days! 5 days!!?? Holy cow. That is alot of diapers. We are going to be switching to cloth once LO's belly button is completely healed and once she gets a tad bit bigger. Right now though we are using disposables. I can't believe the amount of diapers we are going through!! I go through so many because I will change her when she has a wet/dirty diaper and then during her diaper change...like as soon as I put a new one on, she poops or pees again!! What the heck? Is there anyway to prevent this? I should be changing her as soon as I know she is dirty or wet, right? Advice please!!
