Sleep??

I can't get my LO to sleep in her cradle that is right by our bed. I have been letting her sleep with us even tho I always swore I would never do. But every time I put her in her cradle asleep she wakes up screaming and crying like crazy. I am a first time mom and I just don't know how to get her to sleep on her own. I can't stand to hear her cry. Please help!!
