How long does the grunting/tossing turning thing last? I cant sleep!

I dont know if this was worse than normal because DS hasnt pooped since yesterday afternoon, but he grunted and strained all night.  i suppose he was sleeping as his eyes were closed for part of the night, but lord know i wasnt sleeping. 

I feel bad for him as he seems so uncomfortable, but Im wondering if grunting during sleep and moving around is normal?  Lately I have been sleeping in the guest bedroom and DH comes to get me when DS fully wakes up because i cant sleep in the same room as DS--its just waaay too loud and im a light sleeper.  Well, DH was out of town for work last night and I think i slept 3 hours all night long. 

Tell me this passes soon!    is this common?
