food affecting breastmilk

I think some of the food I'm eating is affecting my breastmilk. I ate some chili tonight and my DS is extremely fussy while eating and he keeps spitting up after feedings. I've been feeding him breastmilk that I pumped earlier this week. How long will it take to clear out of my system so he can breastfeed again?
