LO wakes after only 45 min s of sleep

and he needs to be soothed - rocked back to sleep and then he will sleep for another hour.  Anyone have any suggestions as to why this is happening. (more so from 3-6 am but during the day too).

 Its not gas or the need to poop that is waking him.  I am stumped and tired.
