Nightlight recommendations?

Hi ladies!  We're in the final throes of prep over here and I want to find the right nighttime lighting option.  I plan to use the co-sleeper in our room to nurse and am not sure if we'll motivate to get out of bed to change him in the other room on his changing table or if we'll change him on the bed using a changing pad.  Either way, I know I'm supposed to keep the lights down - do you have nightlights in every room that are on all the time once it gets dark?  Dim lightbulbs that you turn on when the baby wakes up?  Or is this silly minutiae that we'll figure out what works best for us as we go?
