Reflux medication - does your baby's taste like mouthwash!?

DS was in SO MUCH pain from reflux we decided to put him in prescription meds for it.  We got it today and I tasted it and it tastes like mouthwash. 

The faces and crying DS makes when I gave it to him are pretty upsetting, but despite this, it does seem to be working.

DH and I rarely turn to medication, but I have eliminated everything that is thought to cause reflux from my diet (I EBF) and nothing helped with the reflux (only the gas).

I was wondering if anyone is giving their baby medication for reflux that isn't horrible tasting?  We really just want to help him with the pain, so if we have to keep giving him this we will... I just wanted to know what else is out there.
