napping in crib

I'm trying to get LO used to taking naps in his crib.  Until now he's been dozing off wherever, but we are going to visit family over Christmas and he'll be in a crib there, and he's also starting to sleep longer stretches at night, so we may move him to his crib at night in a few weeks.  He's used to napping in the carseat or swing where he's more upright.  He sleeps fine in his bassinet at night, but he won't take a good nap in his crib- he dozes off then wakes up after 10-20 minutes.  We have music and a dehumidifier on in his room.  Any suggestions?
