What a great post!  I'd also never heard of the elf on the shelf. We'll be adding this very shortly!

 Also - don't remember who it was who said the DH doesn't get involved with anything Christmas related. It DOES change when you have a LO. DH is exactly the same. In fact, my nick name for him used to be the Grinch. Since DS came along, he has certainly changed his tune!
