First Appointment....and a sigh of relief

We had our first o/b appointment and u/s appointment today.  We got to see baby and heartbeat.  She said that I'm measuring a few days further along than my EDD -- which I think is good??  Everything looked good -- and I'm glad to have all the blood work done -- yuck.  We're so excited for June!   

 

But it was kind of a shocker when they handed us what the bill would be after delivery -- YIKES!  I have a lot to learn about our health insurance -- it's so confusing.  We have a pretty high deductible unfortunately and I don't know if DH can change our plan during open enrollment in April.  Does anyone have any experience with this??  Sorry -- probably a dumb question, but for some reason health insurance really confuses me.
