Fire OB because of staff?

I love my OB, but her appointment person irritates me. The latest is that I had a pap scheduled for Oct 26. I got a BFP before that and called to let them know. I told her specifically that I had a positive HPT. Appointment gal tells me my doc doesn't like to see pregnant patients until week 8 or 9. Fine, I book the appointment for Nov 15.

Today I called to find out if there will be an ultrasound, if DH needs to come with me. I asked what I can anticipate will happen at the appointment. She says just a pap and breast exam. Umm.... and about the pregnancy? OH! We didn't know you were pregnant! 

If my doc's office can screw up things that simple, what kind of trouble are they going to cause me down the road? Or am I overreacting?
