HOW do people afford to have kids??? We live in an area with a relatively low cost of living, but we also don't make a ton of money. I'm a public librarian (so I make a little more than a public school teacher), and my husband currently works in retail and they pay him like shiit (right now we're just happy he has a job). We'd think about him being a stay-at-home-dad if it weren't for the student loan payments...ugh. I guess technically we'll probably be able to afford the daycare...we'll just be screwed as soon as we need a new car or a new roof or something.
So I'm freaking out a little, obviously. But at the same time I think, we make a lot more than a lot of people out there. I think of a single mom working in retail, for example. How on earth are people able to afford daycare?
I don't know if I'm just venting or really looking for tips. If you have any, please share!
