frustrated with my doctor

I have Polycystic Ovarian Syndrom and so the fact that I got pregnant without help from medicine is kind of amazing. We have been trying for 3 years with no success or sign that I could get pregnant because I never ovulated. Now I'm so worried about my progesterone levels and the chance of them dropping that I'm almost panicking. I talked to my doctors assistant this morning and she said that the doctor probably won't want to do tests until my first OB appointment in November!

 What if I lose the kid before then because of my progesterone being all screwed up?!  I wonder if I can just go to the walk in clinic and get the blood test...

 Sorry, that's my rant for the day.
