Back pain!

I'm 6 weeks 5 days and the biggest pregnancy symptom I've had it the back pain! My mom said she actually had back labor (I guess where you feel the contractions in your back, rather than the stomach?). I'm hoping it's not like this for nine months, but if it means I have a healthy baby I'll take it! I am a teacher and rarely have a spare minute to sit down. Does anyone else have killer back pain, and any suggestions on how to make it somewhat better?
