Anyone else having a shower in Jan?

My mom and sister just approached me about having a shower for all my family and friends nearby. (My SIL is already throwing me a shower for the family closer to her, and that shower is Nov 20.)

They proposed having the shower the first weekend of January. I, of course, am delighted that they are throwing me one, but am also a little worried it'll be so late. Granted, I am not due until the end of January, but I was hoping that January could be our time for last minute prep and purchases. 

Anyone else having a shower in January? Are you worried about your timeline?
