I think there is more to this story.  She's clearly got mental issues, but I'm wondering if there isn't something else going on with her family...incest or abuse or something.  Why would a 25-year-old be so frightened that her parents would find out?

All that said, it's tragic and horrifying that someone would chose this route.  There are people all over the world who would do anything for healthy babies.
