Daycares!

Ok I know i'm beginning my search early, but I really need to get something lined up before Baby Boy arrives.  I live in Southwest Anchorage near Jewel Lake and will need daycare starting at probably 3 1/2 months.  Anyone have any good recommendations, bad stories, places I shoudl stay away from?

 Or anyone have good questions to ask or things to look for.  I have a pretty strict work schedule, but fortunately I never work weekends and have almost every holiday, besides Columbus Day off.  (working for the state I even get Alaska Day off)

 Anyhow, hoping for any idea or suggestions, thanks for any replies in advance.
