another not-so-graceful moment

So six members of my family we were away for the long weekend in a single lake cabin. My parents, older sister, and bil were off on a short excursion to town, and A had taken a kayak. I stupidly laid down on my back on the dock, thinking that I would get up in a minute but that I love to hear the sound of the water lapping against the dock and the boats.

Except that I got stuck. My lower back seized just so and there was no lifting my self up directly. There were chairs blocking me from rolling to my left, and the edge of the dock to the right. I kept thinking A would be back any minute, so I waited and I waited. And surely I would hear my family coming back any minute. 

I ended up trying to do a nice controlled roll to my right, but the muscles were all tightening so the movement was jerky and I scratched my thigh and underarm on the edge of the dock as I plopped in the water with a huge splash. Add it to my list of proud moments.
