How many outfits of each size do I need?

I just developed my shopping urge.  I told myself I would only buy a couple pieces of clothing since it is such a popular shower gift.  I have not been doing well in following through with that!

I don't want to end up with a bunch of things she only wears once.  How many outfits is too many for each size?  I have tried to buy a couple in different sizes, but it is so hard to buy 6-9 months, when the 0-3 months are so much cuter!  And I am anxious to see her in them!
