Do I bring my own envelope to the a/s?

This may sound very stupid, but should we bring our own envelope to the a/s for the tech to write the sex down on? We have it tomorrow (yay!!) and DH and I decided to have the tech write it down and we will open it together not in the ultrasound room. I just don't want to walk in there with a big ol' envelope and have the u/s tech look at me like I am a weirdo because they have them there for us. Dumb I know, but just wondering what others have done!
