D won't hold his bottle or use a sippy

UGH!!  I'm so tired of holding bottles and forcing the sippy on him.  He'll let me put his hands on the bottle and hold it for a few minutes, but he's spoiled!  The pedi said today that he sees it a lot with first born children.  Any tips/tricks I should try?  Every time I try to give him a sippy, he cries and turns his head. lol.  What gives?  I was going to take away bottles all together cold turkey and go straight to sippies but I'm afraid he'll be super fussy and won't drink it.  We recently just switched to all whole milk too, so I didn't want to change too much at once.  Ideas?
