32oz really needed (a/s)

So I've had 4 u/s so far. The first and second I had drank the 32 oz and thought I was going to explode. The tech did say good job on the full bladder.

2nd u/s was a surprise one by my doc so I didn't prepare and she never said anything.

Then the N/T scan. They told me to just drink as usual and they'd provide water when I got there so I didn't have to hold it longer than necessary as I'd have the consult with the genetic person first. Well they never gave me anything to drink and the tech again said how everything is good, she was able to see it all etc. And I just had a "normally" full bladder.

So I really wonder if it's necessary to torture yourself like that. Unless you empty your bladder right before the u/s there is always somethig in the bladder  so with a glass or two of water I think that's plenty.

What do you guys think? I just don't know if I will be able to hold it LOL
