Registry Guilt

We have been slowly registering for stuff at Buy Buy Baby, BRU and Amazon Universal registry.  As we continue to pick out things I am beginning to feel guilty about how much so much of this stuff costs.  We don't pick the most expensive stuff, usually middle of the road in the interest of quality and durability, but I still feel like we are asking so much from our family and friends as they prepare for showers and this child.  

I didn't have this feeling as much when we got married.  Is anyone else having this guilt, too?
