low lying placenta?

I had a follow up level 2 ultrasound today because of 2 choroid plexus cysts found on my u/s when I was 18w4d.  Good news is baby looks "perfect" in the doctor's words, so even though the cysts haven't gone away yet (though they likely still will), since no other abnormalities were found, we have nothing to worry about.  Good news.

We did, however, find out that the placenta is only about 2cm from my cervix.  Apparently this often resolves on its own, as the baby grows and pushes against the placenta.  Often, they'll push the placenta up.  The doctor didn't make this seem like a huge deal, other than if it doesn't move or goes down, I'll need a c-section.  But from reading I've done since coming home, it seems there are other things to be concerned about with a low-lying placenta (it's not placenta previa, at least not yet).  Anyone else have this currently or have this in the past?  I go back in 8 weeks for another ultrasound to check and see where the placenta is.
