As we are still genderless (Thursday cannot come soon enough!) DH and I are between two names- Anthony Christopher and Emily Sophia. However, family members are already applying nicknames in the case of a boy. Don't get me wrong, Anthony is being named for my grandfather who is fondly known as Tony, but I don't want my son to be a Tony. It's a little too Italian Mob for me and even though I've asked people to respect my wishes on this it's already a problem. Any suggestions for dealing with unwanted nicknames?
