how many underwears?

How many underwears did you guys buy to start potty training? Just wondering how many accidents they can have in 1 day. The 3-day pt thing says 20 I believe, but do they really go 20 times in a day? DD only gets her diaper changed about 4 times a day now, but I think we let it get pretty full.
