s/o secret names

I saw that the secret names post got a lot of response.  For those that are choosing to keep the name a secret, it brought up a question for me.  Fowler addressed it with her comment.  She said that someone she knew kept the name a secret, then their friends ended using the exact same first and middle name and announcing it before their child was born, having no idea they planned to use the name.

If you are keeping the name a secret, what would you do if someone close to you or in your family ended up naming their baby the same name, or announced that they would be using the same name, but announced it before you had your baby?  Would you still use the name or would you end up using something different?
