i think i'm allergic to my baby

well, not really. but 2 nights ago i noticed my belly was itching like mad. i figured it was just from stretching. the next morning i looked to find a nice red rash forming. went to my ob and he said, literally, "things that make you go hmmmm". great. i am on antibiotics (have been for over a week) but he said it didn't look like an allergic reaction. he told me to take benadryl and come back in a week. i do not want to take benadryl (or anything i don't have to for that matter). so it's just an unexlplained rash i guess? i like clear answers so this is annoying me. 

anyone else have a belly rash? my cousin said she had one when she was pg, and my SIL's sister said she had one too. just want to ease my mind. i don't think my husband's theory that 'the baby is scratching me with his nails from the inside" is accurate. bahaha.
