I went to the break room a few minutes ago to buy a bottle of water and every machine said "sold out". There was an older gentleman there restocking the snack machines and he saw me go down the line and try all of the four machines, with no luck. I didn't think he was with the same company so I didn't say anything to him, but he came over and said, "Are they all empty?" I said, "Looks like it. Maybe not the one with the small bottles, but I don't want one of those." He unlocked one of the machines and I guess the waters were stuck, which caused the machine to say they were sold out. He handed me a water and I handed him my money. He just shook his head in a kind of "don't worry about it" way. It really is the little things that can make a difference in some ones day! Free water is so simple, but I appreciated that so much!

FYI, we do have water coolers, but we only have those little cone-shaped paper cups and I didn't bring an empty bottle today like I usually do.
