Berries

Has anyone been told by a pedi to not give LO berries?  DH took DD to the pedi back in the middle of July - so she would have been about 9.5 months old.  She had a swelling on her right breast that was red and also warm to the touch.  The ultimate conclusion was that it was likely an infection and antibiotics for a few days knocked it out.

However, at the pedi (which was a different one from our usual), DH told the pedi that DD had strawberries in case of allergy concerns (she has also had raspberries and blueberries as part of Earth's Best and Plum brand foods).  The pedi said no berries until after a year.  My usual pedi never said anything about berries.
