what is this pain im feeling???

Well i woke up this morning having to pee of course...but i had that pain as if i was holding it for a really long time. I was sore in my lower pelvic area only on the left side. But even after i went it continued to feel that way and it still feels that way 16 hours later. But it goes away when i'm sitting but bam when i get up i feel it again. Can this be a uti or a stone of some sort.....I have my regular appt on wed...should i still call or just wait for my appt??? i have never had a uti before so i really don't know what it feels like. It doesnt hurt when i actually pee but i do feel like i have to push it out....??? Anyone else??
