Really really stupid paci question

So I bought DD new paci's yesterday because hers are getting old. I got the same ones we always have, Avent 0-6 months. DH was like, "why did you get these?! She needs the 6-18 month ones!" I never switched her bottle nipples past stage one because I BF and she does fine and I guess I figured she likes these pacis, so why change. But with the bottle it has to do with flow and that isn't the case with pacis obviously. DH thinks they will mess up her teeth, since the older ones are bigger to fit her mouth better. Is this true? Should I give her the older pacis?
