I've leaving DS Saturday for the first time. Tips?

On Saturday, I will be driving an hour and a half from home for my best friends wedding.  I will be gone for about 14 hours.  SO is working graveyards, so he will be asleep most of the day, so my mom has offered to come watch DS.

I have never been away from him longer than maybe 2 or 3 hours.  And, that has only been a few times.

Is there anything I should do to make it easier on DS, and my mom.  Anything to help the day go smooth?  Or just any tips in general?

I'm freaking out.
