Pregnant belly=Gross?

At work yesterday a coworker came up to me and we were talking about another coworker who is also pregnant (about 7 months) and the lady I was talking to said this: "I think it is disgusting when pregnant women go around touching or rubbing their stomachs. Is it really necessary to touch yourself all the time?"

Now she has never been pregnant but I couldn't even believe she said that! I said something along the line of "Well sometimes you have to adjust the way baby is sitting or pushing on an organ or rib, and personally having been pregnant I love feeling my baby move." She kind of rolled her eyes and said, "Yeah, but does EVERYONE else need to see it?" I just stared at her and was thinking, well for God sakes it's not like we're rubbing ourselves down getting ready for a porno scene! She walked away after that comment and the more I think about it the more mad it makes me, I've seen plenty of people do way more disgusting things than touch their stomachs! Anyone else ever had someone tell them something that weird?
