Eating small amounts, more frequently

For the past couple weeks now Ian has been only drinking 2.5 oz at a time (formula) but is eating approx. every 1.5 hours. He was normally drinking 4 oz at a time and then that suddenly changed.

Did anyone else experience this? Is it just a phase/growth spurt?? I'm at a loss.
