nap help

DS is 9 months old and still naps in his swing. If he falls asleep in the car, I can carry him into the house and lay him down and he will usually fall back asleep.

I desperately need to get him to nap in his crib because he's too big for the swing. I've tried this whole week, I rock him until drowsy, lay him down with sound machine we use at bedtime. He has yet to fall asleep in his bed. Today I rocked him until he was asleep and layed him down. He woke up and has been in there playing for about 15min. Advice?? Suggestions?

He goes to bed at night with no problems...
