anyone else's 10 month old HATE chunky solids?

I'm beginning to dread feeding time.  She just hates a lot of the foods I'm trying to give her.  Her dr said I really need to push table food but I can barely get her to eat stage 3 foods.  She whines, tries to climb out of her chair and (my favorite) she clamps her mouth shut and laughs at me.  Really? 

Thoughts?  Should I keep pushing or just stick to what she wants.  I should add she isn't even on the charts for weight.  She was 15 lbs at her 9 month appt.
