When are you starting WCM??

My son will be 1 on August 5 and I still haven't introduced whole cows milk.  I know they say to wait until they are a year old, so I guess I'm good.  My question is, when do you plan on starting to mix CM w/ formula/breastmilk?  My sons 1 year check up isn't until a week or two after he turns 1.  Am I suppose to wait until I see the pedi to make any changes?  Do I start mixing now?  Or do I wait until August 5 itself?  Sorry so many questions...just want to know what you moms are doing that have an 11 month old child. 

p.s. I have given him yogurt and cheese and he hasn't had any problems with those milk products.
