Help for activities for 1-yo

My parents are daycare and I will forever be appreciative for the money and worry they are saving me! But, I feel that they aren't very creative at trying new things with her or even just trying to locate new things to do. Do anyone have great websites for activity ideas and/or things to do in the Triangle? Or, just have some off the top of your head? I want them to be relatively inexpensive or free, so no $300 classes, please.

Unfortunately, a lot of crafty things are out because DD still puts most things in her mouth. I had her color on a piece of paper as a "get well" card for my mom after knee surgery, and she pitched a fit when I made her actually color with the crayons rather than let her eat them!
