SO disappointed!

I took the boys to Penny's this weekend to get their pictures done.  Dylan wanted NO part of it.  They were not able to get any of them together.  They did get a few shots of them by themselves but Dylan wouldn't smile.  And they look like school pictures.  I was so frustrated after leaving there even though I know I can't expect much from an 18 month old.  It's just that it had been a while since I had them done and I really wanted them to turn out well.  I'm trying to convince my dh that we should spend the money to have a really good photographer (one who does candid shots) take their pics.  This way they wouldn't be forced to sit in a studio.  For those that have done this can you give me a ballpark figure of what it cost you?  TIA!!
