What do you do with your keys when you go to the beach?

Took Bri to the beach after we dropped Ty off at school.  It is only about a mile from my house so I only took ourselves and two towels.  When we got there, I realized I had no place to put the car keys.  We go to beach a lot, but I never go swimming without someone else with us.  Where do you put your keys when you swim?  The beach is free, so there is always a lot of people there.  And it is very small so there are no lockers or anything.
